Not getting enough physical activity can have significant negative impacts on both physical and mental health. Some of the risks associated with insufficient physical activity include:

 

  1. Weight Gain and Obesity: Lack of physical activity can lead to weight gain and obesity, as unused calories are stored as fat. Obesity increases the risk of various health problems, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and certain cancers.
