How to schedule a Google Meet session from Gmail?

Google Meet session from Gmail

Scheduling a Google Meet session directly from Gmail is a convenient way to set up meetings while managing your email. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open Gmail: Go to gmail.com and sign in with your Google account if you're not already logged in.

  2. Compose a New Email: Click on the "Compose" button to start a new email.

  3. Click on the Google Meet Icon: In the email composition window, you'll see a row of icons at the bottom. Look for the "Google Meet" icon, which looks like a small video camera with the Google Meet logo next to it. Click on this icon.

  4. Schedule a Meeting: After clicking on the Google Meet icon, a small window will pop up where you can schedule the meeting. You can choose to add a title, date, and time for the meeting, as well as specify the duration.

  5. Add Guests: In the "Add guests" section, enter the email addresses of the participants you want to invite to the meeting. You can also select people from your contacts list.

  6. Send the Invitation: Once you've filled out all the necessary information, click on the "Send" button to schedule the meeting and send out invitations to the participants.

Once the invitation is sent, Google will automatically generate a Google Meet link for the meeting, and it will be included in the email sent to the participants. At the scheduled time, participants can click on the Google Meet link within the email to join the meeting.

This integration makes it easy to schedule and manage virtual meetings directly from Gmail, streamlining the process of remote collaboration and communication.
