4 Steps to Improve Communication Skill

As human being we need to communicate clearly and effectively with people. But effective communication skill has ever been the most importent and challenging skill. But the good news is that this skill can be learned and even mastered. These 4 tips given bellow will help you to master that skill.

1.  Listen properly :

One of the most underrated things in our society is the art of listening. People want to know that they are being heard. That's why listen to what the other person is saying, instead of formulating your response. If you are not clear about what other person is saying ask for clarification. You can ask by saying- Sorry I could not here you can you say again?

At that moment, the person speaking to you should be the most important person in your life. Another important point is to have one conversation at a time. This means that if you are speaking to someone on the phone, do not respond to an email, or send a text at the same time. The other person will know that she doesn’t have your undivided attention. More over you should listen properly.

2.  Body language :

There is one more language beyond your own language, that is body language. When you are communicating with someone your body language speaks a lot whether you are you are interested over that person or not. This is important for face-to-face meetings and video conferencing.

Make sure that you appear accessible, so have open body language. This means that you should not cross your arms. And keep eye contact so that the other person knows that you are paying attention. These little things make a big difference between a good and a bad communicator.

3.  Sound matters a lot :

While you are speaking that time your voice modulation matters a lot. Make sure that during your speech you are giving pauses. Because that pauses allow listener to think about what the speaker said. Also it makes your sound sweet. Sometime your pitch should raise and somtime lower.

4.  Attitude :

The attitudes you bring to communication will have a huge impact on the way you compose yourself and interact with others. Be honest, patient, optimistic, sincere, respectful, and accepting of others. Be sensitive to other people's feelings, and believe in others' competence.

SummaryFirst of all you should listen very carefully whom you are communicating with. Then maintain your body posture because your body speaks a lot about what you are thinking and whether you are in a mood of speaking or not. There after your sound not be flat that means your pitch should be go up and down periodically. The last one is good attitude towards your companion create a impact on your speaking.
